Hello and welcome!

This is my home on the Internet, one of many.

I used to be a Ph D student on a journey through a really exiting period of my life and this was the place where I planned to connect, communicate and illustrate this journey. In the beginning of June 2013, however, I managed to defend my Ph D thesis, and I guess it is safe to say that the journey continues but from a slightly different perspective.

My area of research deals pretty much with social aspects of online game worlds, or Massively Multi Online Games (MMOGs). The perspective that I’m currently most involved in is the creation of a Model Social Game Agent (MSGA) that could be described as a believable Non Player Character (NPC). The aim of this research is to propose different and perhaps new strategies to the creation of games AI (Artificial Intelligence) and NPCs in particular. In addition to creating a “social” games AI, I have an interest in game design and usability/ heuristics for games.

Starting from Spring 2013, I will be part of a research project searching for a more detailed view on online life and anonymity, a project sponsored by Vetenskapsrådet. The research project is a collaboration between different Departments at stockholm University and Södertörns Högskola, and will be running for three years.
